It has been a few days since I’ve posted, but I’d like to continue my issue postings and why I think Senator Clinton is right on target with her views and suggested resolutions to the issues at hand. This is why she should be supported and voted as the Democratic nominee for President. The issue I would like to discuss today is green-collar jobs. This is an area that Senator Clinton has recognized as having the potential to change this country. Just as blue-collar jobs fueled the industrial revolution, and white-collar jobs fueled the technological information revolution, green-collar jobs has the potential to fuel the energy revolution. Senator Clinton has laid out a clear plan to foster and develop green-collar jobs here at home and make this country energy smart, energy efficient and energy independent. As layoffs and overall job loss in the manufacturing industry continues to rise, Senator Clinton has put forth a plan that calls for re-education and re-training of millions of American workers affected by this and to get them involved in a green based economy here in the states. Finding clean renewable energy is going to be key to our planet’s survival. Making that renewable energy innovative and affordable will be the job of public-private partnerships. By providing tax breaks, tax incentives, job training, development and investment, Senator Clinton has shown that she has the answers needed. She would transform our economy from carbon-based to clean and energy efficient by jump-starting research and development through a $50 billion Strategic Energy Fund. This would double investment in basic energy research. Green-collar jobs can turn our economy around, provide for millions of new jobs in the United States and make our country a leader in a new energy industry. Moreover, it will provide for clean breathing air and also help stem the effects of global warming. Senator Clinton has shown that her plan will not hurt businesses, quite the contrary, businesses will find new streams of revenue in this pioneering new world. Not only will we provide leadership to the world on global warming, we will lead an energy revolution, just as we have lead every other economic revolution that has transformed the world and advanced it to the next step in its evolution.
